Statistics for climate and environment

Norsk Regnesentral's research within statistics for climate and environment is a mixture of applied, problem-driven projects and fundamental research. With funding from national and international clients and research grants, the institute is involved in a wide range of projects, either as project leaders or as partners in multinational research teams. Our climate project portfolio includes estimating climate sensitivity, reconstructing past global climate, climate predictions of times scales from one month to decades ahead, verification of climate models and statistical downscaling.
